Frost and airflow blockage

What you can safely check first

Power and door closure

Check that the power is on, the door closes fully and nothing is blocking the doorway.

Temperature and alarms

Record the current room temperature, setpoint, alarm code and when the temperature started rising.

When to stop the equipment

If there is a burning smell, repeated electrical tripping or severe mechanical noise, stop the unit if it is safe to do so and contact a technician.

Why is a modular cold room not cooling?

The cause may be in the condensing unit, refrigerant circuit, fans, defrost system, controls, door seal or insulated panels. On-site inspection is needed.

Should I stop the unit when temperature rises?

Stop it if there is a burning smell, repeated electrical tripping or severe abnormal noise and it is safe to do so. Otherwise reduce door opening, protect the stock and arrange inspection promptly.
