COMMERCIAL REFRIGERATOR BUYING GUIDE

Choose by temperature, workflow and service access

Start with what must be stored and how staff will use it. Then compare cabinet style, temperature configuration, dimensions, voltage, heat rejection, warranty and future repair access.

Which cabinet suits the job?

Upright stainless-steel refrigerator

High vertical storage density for kitchens, available in two-, four- and six-door layouts.

Glass-door refrigerator

Useful when staff or customers need to see beverages and packaged products without opening every door.

Worktop refrigerator

Combines chilled or frozen storage with a preparation surface for compact kitchens.

Freezer or cold room

Choose for frozen stock or bulk storage when cabinet capacity is not enough.

New, used or inverter?

New equipment

Usually offers clearer warranty terms and is easier to match to a new layout.

Used equipment

Can reduce purchase cost, but condition and remaining service life vary by unit.

Inverter equipment

Can modulate compressor capacity, but efficiency also depends on sizing, cabinet insulation, ventilation and use.

Common questions

What is the difference between all-chilled and dual-temperature?

All-chilled cabinets keep every compartment refrigerated. Dual-temperature units provide separate chilled and frozen zones.

Is a glass-door cabinet suitable for every food?

No. Confirm the specified temperature range and whether the product needs chilled display or frozen storage.

What measurements should I take?

Measure width, depth, height, doorway, delivery route, door clearance and ventilation space.
